Wanda Traczyk-Stawska, Warsaw Uprising soldier, dies aged 99

Wanda Traczyk-Stawska, a soldier of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, died on Tuesday 18 August at the age of 99. She was one of the last surviving participants of the uprising and remained active for years in commemorating its victims. Her death closes another chapter of living memory of the Warsaw Uprising.
