Violent storms swept through the Małopolska region of Poland, prompting over 180 firefighter interventions, according to Capt. Hubert Ciepły of the regional fire service. In the town of Dobczyce, strong winds tore off several roofs, and reports also included broken branches and fallen trees. Poland's IMGW weather institute and the Government Crisis Management Centre issued warnings about further heavy rainfall likely to cause localised flooding.
