Norway overtakes US as top gas supplier to the EU
Norway has overtaken the United States to become the European Union's largest gas supplier. EU gas storage facilities are filled to nearly 62 percent capacity, and the European Commission says there is no cause for concern about supplies ahead of winter. Analysts suggest the main challenge for Europe may no longer be supply shortages but gas prices.
