North Korea fires 10 missiles after Trump scales back South Korea drills

North Korea launched around 10 short-range ballistic missiles toward its eastern waters on Thursday at around 5pm local time, detected by South Korea and Japan. The launches came a day after Donald Trump ordered a scale-back of US-South Korea joint military drills in an apparent diplomatic overture to Kim Jong-un. Pyongyang showed no sign of reciprocating the gesture.
