First US deportees arrive in Liberia as Trump expands third-country removals

The first group of US deportees arrived in Liberia as part of a third-country deportation deal struck with the Trump administration. Liberia is expected to receive around 1,200 people in total. The West African nation joins a growing number of countries agreeing to accept migrants deported from the United States who are not their own nationals.
