Siemoniak scraps social assistants scheme in wake of flood-aid scandal
Tomasz Siemoniak, Poland's minister-coordinator of special services, has announced he is abolishing the social assistant scheme at his ministry following the so-called flood-aid scandal. The controversy centres on alleged irregularities in the distribution of post-flood grants.
