US deports first 20 migrants to Liberia under deal for 1,200 deportees
The United States deported 20 people to Liberia, the first group under a deal in which the African country will accept a total of 1,200 migrants. The deportees landed at Roberts International Airport outside Monrovia. The US-Liberia agreement is among the largest third-country deportation deals driven by the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.
