Serbia asked Russia for firefighting plane — Il-76P deployed to battle blazes

Serbia requested firefighting assistance from Russia after the European Union had no available aircraft to offer. A Russian Il-76P water-bomber was deployed on Thursday to fight the country's largest active fire, which is burning through the Deliblato Sands nature reserve.
