Dominican friar slams Poland's tallest Mary statue as a "monster in the middle of nowhere"

The tallest statue of the Virgin Mary in Europe was unveiled in Konotop in the Kujawy region of Poland, immediately sparking controversy. Dominican friar Father Paweł Gużyński publicly called the monument a "monster in the middle of nowhere" and compared it to King Kong. In response to backlash from the faithful, he elaborated on what he sees as the real problem facing the modern Church.
