Poland's NFZ plans to tie cardiology funding to post-heart-attack treatment outcomes
Poland's National Health Fund (NFZ) has launched consultations on a regulation that would tie hospital reimbursements to the quality of cardiac care. The proposal introduces corrective coefficients for providers in the KOS-zawał programme — Comprehensive Post-Heart-Attack Care. Hospitals achieving better patient outcomes would receive higher payments.
