Poland halves work permits for foreigners in first half of the year

Poland's Ministry of Interior and Administration reported a 50% drop in newly issued work permits for foreigners in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year. In the same period, nearly 11,000 people were detained for illegal stays in Poland. The figures reflect the government's tightened migration policy.
