Poles prefer higher tax-free allowance over new PIT brackets, poll shows
The Polish government plans to raise the PIT income threshold to 130,000 zł and introduce a new 24% tax rate for annual earnings up to 150,000 zł. However, an SW Research poll for rp.pl shows that most Poles would prefer an increase in the tax-free allowance — an election promise that Prime Minister Donald Tusk has now abandoned. The decision has sparked public dissatisfaction over unfulfilled campaign commitments.
