Nawrocki vetoes law aimed at combating transport exclusion
President Karol Nawrocki has vetoed a law intended to combat transport exclusion in Poland, which would have required regional and local governments to ensure access to public transport. Nawrocki argued the legislation could paradoxically lead to the elimination of further transport connections rather than improving them. The law was designed to tackle the lack of public transport in smaller towns and rural areas.
