ICC separates Taliban persecution of women into standalone probe

ICC judges have ordered prosecutors to open a standalone investigation into the Taliban's persecution of Afghan women, separating it from the probe that also covered alleged US crimes in Afghanistan. Afghan rights advocates warned the split could undermine comprehensive justice, and the fate of Afghan women under Taliban rule remains uncertain.
