Walmart shares slide after weakest US sales growth in over six years
Walmart reported comparable US sales growth of just 2.6% in its second quarter — the lowest figure in more than six years. The weak performance was partly attributed to falling drug prices, which weighed on revenues from Walmart's in-store pharmacies. The disappointing results sent the company's shares lower.
