Poland caps flat-rate tax threshold — top-earning doctors among those affected
The Polish government's proposed tax changes include capping the flat-rate (ryczałt) tax threshold, which would strip some of the highest-earning self-employed workers — including top doctors — of access to low tax rates and minimal health contributions. Experts say the reform moves in the right direction but does not eliminate the attractiveness of the flat-rate system for a large share of the self-employed.
