Experts: Patriot battery in Bemowo gave Warsaw no real protection and posed risks to residents
Following an interview in which deputy head of the Armaments Agency Gen. Michał Marciniak admitted shortages of launchers and missiles, a debate over Warsaw's air defence has erupted. Former defence minister Mariusz Błaszczak cited the Patriot battery he placed in the Bemowo district, but a former head of national air defence and an industry expert both told Wirtualna Polska that the battery provided no real protection and could have endangered local residents.
