Tornado and storms kill at least one in Germany, dozens of homes destroyed

Violent storms and a tornado swept across Germany overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, killing at least one person. Dozens of buildings were damaged or destroyed, with walls collapsing and roof tiles torn off by the wind. Widespread power outages affected a large area of the country.
