Evergrande founder Xu Jiayin sentenced to life in prison for financial crimes

Xu Jiayin, founder of Chinese property giant Evergrande, has been sentenced to life in prison for financial crimes. The court ordered the confiscation of his assets and imposed billion-dollar fines on his companies. The court described the scale of the crimes as "exceptionally enormous."
