After MyDr data breach: 6,600 PESEL freeze requests filed in Warsaw in one week

Following a cyberattack on the MyDr medical platform, Poles rushed to government offices to freeze their PESEL identification numbers. In Warsaw alone, 6,612 applications were filed between 13 and 17 August, compared to just over 1,000 for the entire month of July. The surge reflects the seriousness with which residents are treating the personal data breach.
