Russian strikes kill at least 12 in Kyiv and surrounding region

Russian bombardments killed at least 12 people and wounded dozens in Kyiv and its surrounding region overnight, Ukrainian authorities said. Both countries have intensified long-range strikes in recent months, driving up civilian casualties on both sides of the four-and-a-half-year war.
