Same-sex couple denied mortgage support — deputy minister says no discrimination should occur
A same-sex couple married abroad is attempting to access Poland's government-backed mortgage support programme, but their bank referred them to BGK and the ministry, citing the lack of a transcribed foreign marriage certificate. One of the women notes that a heterosexual couple with a Polish marriage certificate would already be flat-hunting. The deputy minister of development told OKO.press there "should be no discrimination," but offered no specific remedy.
