LG Display's FLiPP technology promises brighter, longer-lasting OLED panels
LG Display has unveiled a new OLED manufacturing process called FLiPP (FMM-Less innovative Pixel Patterning), which it describes as a "dream next-generation OLED" method. Panels made with FLiPP are reportedly brighter, longer-lasting and more energy-efficient, and can theoretically be produced in almost any size. The technology eliminates the fine metal masks traditionally used in pixel patterning.
