22-year-old Wembanyama named France basketball team captain

Victor Wembanyama, the 22-year-old San Antonio Spurs star, has been named captain of the French national basketball team. He will lead the side in the 2027 World Championship qualifiers, which France opens against Slovenia on 27 August.
