Over 200,000 newly displaced in Sudan's Kordofan as fighting intensifies

The UN has warned of a sharp surge in displacement in Sudan's Kordofan region as fighting continues to rage. More than 200,000 people have been newly displaced, while power and water infrastructure in El Obeid is under attack. The situation is worsening an already severe humanitarian crisis.
