Nawrocki's spokesman: Tusk broke his tax-free allowance promise

PM Donald Tusk has proposed raising the income tax threshold from 120,000 to 130,000 PLN and introducing a new 24% PIT rate for those earning between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN. Presidential spokesman Rafał Leśkiewicz accused Tusk of breaking his campaign pledge to raise the tax-free allowance to 60,000 PLN. Leśkiewicz also questioned the government's narrative on defence spending, citing a contradiction between the SAFE programme advertising campaign and the claimed lack of funds for higher allowances.
