ZUS: 14.1 million sick notes issued in first half of 2026, mental health absences rising

Polish social insurer ZUS recorded 14.1 million sick leave certificates in the first half of 2026, down 2.7% year-on-year. The share of absences caused by injuries, poisonings and mental health disorders increased over the year. The average sick note lasted 10 days.
