BCC economist on tax changes: a step forward, but not a systemic reform

Prof. Paweł Wojciechowski, chief economist at BCC and former finance minister, describes the new tax changes as a step in the right direction that corrects some imbalances introduced by the Polish Deal. The measures aim to shift some tax burdens from the middle class to high earners, some self-employed individuals and large corporations. He welcomes the assumed budget neutrality but warns that not all middle-class earners will benefit.
