New prosecutors drop PiS-era cases just as their predecessors did — Sasin and Obajtek probes stall

After re-examining cases flagged in the so-called Bodnar report, prosecutors under Poland's new government have in several instances reached nearly identical conclusions as their PiS-era counterparts — dropping the cases. The investigations affected include those concerning Jacek Sasin, Daniel Obajtek, and the beating of women during the Independence March. Earlier, prosecutors had pointed to hasty closures and possible abuse of power by their predecessors.
