Poland's defence spending lags: only 14% of annual budget used by mid-year

Poland's Armed Forces Support Fund had spent just 14% of its annual plan — over 11 billion złoty — by mid-2026, according to "Puls Biznesu". The utilisation rate is lower than at the same point last year, when the full planned amount still wasn't spent. The Defence Ministry says the situation is under control, but the newspaper warns the pattern of underspending may repeat itself.
