Lebanon extradites former Assad army general to Syria to face trial

Syria's Interior Ministry announced that Lebanon has extradited a former military officer who served under Bashar al-Assad to Syrian authorities. The man is to face trial over alleged crimes committed during the Assad era. The case is one of the first extraditions of a former regime officer from a neighbouring country.
