Paramount-Warner Bros. merger to cut 4,500 LA production jobs

A report by CVL Economics for Los Angeles County warns that the Paramount–Warner Bros. merger could eliminate around 4,500 film and TV jobs in the LA area over three years. The local industry has already shed 52,000 jobs in recent years, and the report argues the deal would accelerate that decline. County officials cited the findings as grounds for scrutiny of the merger.
