OpenAI plans to go public by 2027

OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar told employees that the company plans to become a public company by 2027 or sooner. It is one of the clearest signals yet about a potential IPO from the maker of ChatGPT. OpenAI is simultaneously converting from a non-profit structure to a for-profit company.
