Dulles' iconic mobile lounges to remain until mid-2030s

Washington Dulles Airport's distinctive mobile lounges — jet-age vehicles that ferry passengers between the main terminal and concourses — will not be retired until the mid-2030s, according to a timeline from airport operator MWAA. A new connector building and an extension of the underground AeroTrain must be completed first, with both projects due around 2034. The updates are part of a $19.9 billion airport redevelopment programme.
