Tiger mosquito found at new site in northern Portugal
Portuguese health authorities have confirmed the presence of the tiger mosquito at a new location in the north of the country. The species is capable of transmitting serious diseases such as dengue and chikungunya. Local sanitary services have reassured the public that the tested specimens do not currently pose an epidemiological threat.
