Sheffield United chair faces EFL disqualification after £35m debt dispute liquidates buying company
Sheffield United chairman Steven Rosen faces disqualification as a director by the English Football League after a London high court ordered the liquidation of COH Sports Bidco Limited, the company through which he bought the club. Former owners linked to Prince Abdullah claim Rosen and business partner Helmy Eltoukhy owe them £35m in unpaid fees from the £110m sale of the Championship club in December 2024. Rosen and Eltoukhy had transferred club ownership to a new parent company, 1919 Partners LLC, which the previous owners alleged was an attempt to dodge the debt.
