Stripe acquires AI start-up OpenRouter for $7.5 billion

Payments company Stripe has acquired AI start-up OpenRouter in a deal valued at $7.5 billion. OpenRouter helps businesses direct their spending across AI models from different providers. The acquisition combines Stripe's payments infrastructure with enterprise AI tooling.
