Atomic-scale double-slit interferometry achieved with electron beam
Scientists have demonstrated double-slit interferometry at the atomic scale using scanning transmission electron microscopy. A focused electron beam was directed at two silicon atomic columns separated by just 1.36 Å, producing clear interference fringes. The experiment marks a landmark achievement in electron-beam physics and atomic-resolution imaging.
