One in five older Australians who challenged AI care funding decisions got more support after human review
Almost one-fifth of older Australians who contested their AI-determined home care funding allocation received a higher level of support after human review. The Greens say the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT), used since November in aged care, is "under-assessing" far more people who may not know they can appeal. Australia's Department of Health and Ageing declined to provide current data on the number of contested decisions.
