Turkey rejects Israel's 'untenable' claims after airstrike on Syrian base near Turkish border

Israel carried out airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur air base near Aleppo on Tuesday, claiming Syria was about to allow Turkish troops to deploy there. Turkey firmly rejected the allegations as "untenable". A US envoy also criticised the strike, calling it an "unnecessary escalation".
