Europeans prefer buying locally over "Buy European" plan

The EU is developing legislation that would give European companies an advantage in public procurement. However, voters in most member states signal they prefer their governments to spend money on locally-made products rather than broadly European ones. National interests are thus clashing with Brussels' push for a unified industrial policy.
