Adviser to Latin America's far-right leaders arrested for allegedly ordering attack on girlfriend

Fernando Cerimedo, a 42-year-old Argentine businessman and political consultant, was arrested on suspicion of ordering the attempted murder of his girlfriend, Bolivian lawyer Nadia Beller. Cerimedo was one of the key strategists behind Javier Milei's 2023 Argentine presidential campaign and also served as an adviser to Bolivian president Rodrigo Paz Pereira. He is accused of orchestrating a shooting targeting the woman.
