Marvell stock surges on Google chip deal; Broadcom shares fall

Marvell Technology's shares surged after the announcement of a chip deal with Google, which also received an option to purchase around $12 billion worth of Marvell stock. The jump in Marvell's valuation came at the expense of rival Broadcom, whose shares fell on the news.
