Presidential Palace criticises income tax reform plan: "more confusion"
The government plans to raise the income tax threshold from 120,000 to 130,000 złoty and introduce a 24% PIT rate for earnings between 130,000 and 150,000 złoty. A rise in the tax-free allowance is not currently planned. Paweł Szefernaker, head of President Karol Nawrocki's cabinet, criticised the proposals, saying they mean "more counting, more rules, more confusion."
