Opposition slams Tusk's tax changes as "window dressing" instead of kept promises
PiS's candidate for prime minister Przemysław Czarnek called Tusk's tax announcements mere "fiddling" and "window dressing" rather than a serious policy fix. Presidential chief of staff Paweł Szefernaker accused the government of making the tax system more complicated instead of raising the tax-free allowance as promised in the election campaign. The criticism follows Tusk's announcement of tax changes including raising the second income tax threshold to 130,000 zlotys.
