Over 36% of Polish teachers hit by higher tax bracket — union responds to threshold rise
In 2024, more than 36% of teachers in Poland had incomes subject to the higher income tax rate. Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced raising the second tax threshold to 130,000 zlotys, a move the Polish Teachers' Union (ZNP) had long called for. The ZNP welcomed the announcement while continuing to advocate for automatic indexation of the threshold as a long-term fix.
