Tusk admits: tax-free allowance will not rise to the promised 60,000 zlotys

Prime Minister Donald Tusk openly admitted that the Civic Coalition's campaign pledge to raise the tax-free allowance to 60,000 zlotys will not be kept. Tusk said he could admit this "without torture," acknowledging the broken promise from the last parliamentary election campaign. The government has instead announced other tax changes, including raising the second income tax threshold.
