Tusk proposes raising PIT threshold to 130,000 PLN with new 24% rate up to 150,000 PLN
Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on Wednesday that the government plans to raise the income-tax threshold from 120,000 to 130,000 PLN and introduce a new 24% PIT rate for earnings between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN. PiS parliamentary club leader Mariusz Błaszczak slammed the proposals, saying: "Don't powder the system — actually cut people's taxes!" The reform has sparked broad debate about the direction of Poland's tax policy.
