Priest from Lębork drowns in Baltic Sea at Darłówko, woman rescued

Fr. Rafał Cieszyński, a 53-year-old parish priest from Lębork, drowned while swimming in the Baltic Sea at Darłówko beach in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Lifeguards pulled him from the water and attempted resuscitation, but he could not be saved. A 46-year-old woman who was also caught in the water was rescued. Lifeguards attributed the tragedy to a rip current pulling swimmers out to sea.
