Striking hospital workers warn: patient violence seven times higher than average

Striking hospital workers in the US are raising the alarm over patient violence in addition to pay demands. Healthcare workers are seven times more likely to be injured by violent acts at work than the general working population. Union members affiliated with Teamsters J.C.43 are calling for both better wages and stronger protections against workplace violence.
